Following a statement in front of the Constitutional Court, our delegation featuring Party Spokesperson Osman Baydemir, Women’s Assembly Spokesperson Dilan Dirayet Taşdemir, Group Deputy Chairperson Ahmet Yıldırım and members of parliament Garo Paylan and Meral Danış Beştaş, requested a meeting with the President of the Constitutional Court. We have not received a response to this request as of yet.
Our delegation has thus begun a Conscience and Justice Watch at the Constitutional Court [building in Ankara] to demand justice in the cases of the unjust and unlawful imprisonment of our Co-Chairs and all members of parliament, and for the Constitutional Court to make a decision in harmony with domestic and international jurisprudence.
